DH been taken to hospital

What shocking treatment I hope your DH is safely home with you now Sarah. What an ordeal for you both.

He is home - go home about 3pm. I could see he needed medical attention so called local Out of hours - they sent a Dr (within an hour) who has diagnosed cellulitis. He's on strong meds - if no improvement or if he worsens within the next 24hrs he has to go into hospital for IV meds.

Ironically he was seen by an ambulance this morning who didn't examine him (took his bloods tho?) - I'm not medically trained but could see by raising his jeans leg he had some sort of infection. The ambulance people didn't touch his leg just offered to take him to hospital - then said if we do that it'll be 30mins there, at least a 2.5h wait then he'll still have to get back - I'm pretty shocked about this treatment too.

On his paperwork from the Ambulance people it says ` pain caused by his cerebral palsy ` which is untrue!

Anyway he's home safely which is what counts; the car will be following in the next 24hours or so.

also glad he is home, definately complain about your treatment though, if enough people do maybe someone will get through!

Oh Sarah just caught this post i think it's dreadful the Way RCA treated your DH. I hope he responds to his medication & has a comfortable night in his own bed let us know how he i tomorrow please.

An update - DH has just been taken to hospital by ambulance as he got worse tonight.

The treatment he recived by the RAC was absolutly awful, you need to complain to the highest degree in the morning, I hoped that he would be okay to drive home the next day, when i read about it first.
Poor hubby and how horrible for you to be stuck at home and DH in a hotel , not feeling good at all, you both must have been so upset.
Hope they sort things at the hospital quickly and he is soon at home where he should and would have been if the RAC had done things properly
