Talking Off to Italy

Well we're off to Italy tomorrow

Flying to Rome, spending Thursday there... we were hoping to shop and see some sites with the children! Turns out it's a bank holiday on Thursday lol so no shops open aaargh!

Friday morning we're getting a car and driving to Spoleto where my brother is getting married on Saturday

So looking forward to it.. DD 12 and my niece 15months old are bridesmaids... they both look gorgeous of course

No too sure what we're doing on Sunday. We'll probably just work our way back to Rome and find somewhere nearby to sleep.

We fly back on Monday afternoon.

Ang

I really should go and pack!

Have a great time!

I loved Rome and the Colosseum tour - great fun. Weather should be lovely too!

All that lovely Italian food and wine mmmmmmmm.

Know what you mean about everything in the rest of Europe being shut on a bank hol - not like here where everywhere is open!

Have a great time in Rome and your brothers wedding. You will have a wonderful time

You could do some damage to your credit card when in Rome

With any luck lol

We'll more than likely just let the kids decide what we do. We've been a few times (the benefit of having Italian parents ) So we're not in any rush to see anything in particular.

Have checked the weather and it's around 29-30 degrees! Thankfully we've a hotel with a pool... hmmmm... wonder what we'll be doing

Please do some research for me whilst there - pleasurable of course. Can you find out if they out chocolate sprinkles on the cappucino and if they use real or that nasty dried parmesan with pasta?
Very disappointed in these two things when we went to Venice last year!
Have a lovely trip

Just back and had a wonderful time

Soozie - REAL parmesan for the pasta!

Comment to DH this morning ' funny how they don't sprinkle chocolate on the cappuccinos! LOL

Best food (other than the wedding feast) was had at the Autogrill restaurants on the motorways!
