Many years ago we went as a group of twelve to an eight bedroom villa in Majorca, for three weeks. By the end of that time, you could cut the atmosphere with a knife. It can be very difficult living in each other’s pockets for all that time. One group actually took a couple tears before we all really spoke together again.
Please understand I’m not trying to put you off, and you may all get on really well together, it’s just something you may not have thought about.
Yes go at the same time, meet up sometimes thro the holiday, but for us, living together 24/7 in a big group did not work.
Sorry.

To return to pricing . As it is id estimate at least £2500 per person inc tickets with 1 big villa, 1 ea 15 seater mini bus, not eating in the parks but offsite.
Which ever way you decide to go I wish you all a brilliant holiday
Ah that's a shame it didn't work for you guys. This isn't new for us, we've been holidaying as a family group for 15 years ha ha. Sometimes twice a year spending a week together at Christmas as well as a summer holiday, mad I know! We all get on very well though. We are having 2 cars so people can do their own thing when needed x

With regard to villa, we have two. One with 12 and one with 5 on the same estate. One booked on Homeaway and one booked through Topvillas.

The problem for me booking with a travel agent was they couldn’t guarantee me an exact villa, just an area, and it was important for me to get everything I wanted in the villa. We have had a bad experience with an AOA with TUI before and I didn’t want that on my wedding trip! Plus it was cheaper to book villas direct as travel agents tend to still do pricing per person.

Each family has their own car.

I have made a 14 day plan and told people they can jump in and out as they please.

We have a Facebook group for discussions and I put helpful tips on there (about fastpasses, etc).

It seems to be working. We wont be in each other’s pockets as we’ll all have different plans.
Wow well done! This sounds amazing, hope you have a fantastic wedding xxx

Thanks all for your advice and responses. We have already had alot of discussion and know exactly which Villa Resort and car hire we want, just the flights and whether to book DIY or with an agent is our current decision. I'm veering towards DIY and then family groups book their own flights which will be easier as flights get released. Hopefully they won't stay the sky high prices they currently are!

I don't think it should be left to one person to organise such a large group myself.
It also always sounds nice for everyone going on a holiday of a lifetime but it can be hard work, finding places to eat for 13 people at the same time , car hire - how many cars are you hiring, sounds silly but even going to the toilet at the parks becomes an issue - do you all wait while one person goes etc.
Your 1st quote works out £1350 pp as someone has said has a budget been set, I also think the agent is correct , there isn't a quiet time in August.
Yo may be able to get it cheaper going the DIY route but you will have to work really hard to please everyone - even choosing a villa, through the agent you will get a villa - not your own choice , if you decide to rent privately who decides which villa is best.
I hope that as you have put all the hard work in you get 1st choice of rooms etc
Good luck
Rob

Thankfully we have holidayed as a family group many times before and know the actual holiday will be fine. Just looking for advice on how to get the best deal for a group booking. I think we're best to see how flight prices come out in the next couple of months. Thanks for replying x
