Just the Two of Us - Blaze, D-Luxe, Millers & Shake Shack

Tuesday 8th May


Checkout of SSR today - we will miss the view, it was so peaceful here.

Left our bags in the car, in the shade and went to Epcot for an 11.10am fastpass on Soarin. Starbucks for a Mocha for DH, and a walk around the showcase, stopping in Japan for Ginger Beef Yaki Udon: Thin-sliced Beef, Onions and Noodles tossed on the grill with Soy and Ginger.

I also had a cup of ice from Starbucks, and filled up my cup with Pineapple Fanta from Cool Club.

We had a couple of QS and snacks to spend, so went to Disney Springs for a Blaze Pizza for me and an El-Diablo D-Luxe Burger for DH.

Also spent all our remaining snack credits in Goofy’s Candy Company.

I also treated myself to these 2 beauties, white chocolate dipped strawberries.

We checked into Villa Aurora - and have to say it was even better than the website - beautiful relaxation - we were very ready for this. Here's some photo's to show just how beautiful it is. That view

Wednesday 9th May

Relaxing day at the villa today

Millers Ale House tonight for a $12.99 Sirloin for me and I’d had an email about a lobster special which DH was keen to try at $16.95. Total bill was $40.23 including a beer for DH and a Shirley Temple for me – a big difference to Disney prices. I also had a free flatbread from their email club, which we took back to the villa for lunch tomorrow.

Thursday 10th May

Another very lazy day relaxing at the villa again today, together with a Walmart shop – which we were pleased to see was only a 5 minute drive from the villa to the new Lake Wilson Road Walmart – very handy indeed. We like to stock up on the usual things, and adore the Walmart Toasting Bread and their 33c bread rolls at the front of the store. We take these back to the villa and freeze them, getting out what we need on a daily basis, usually accompanied by ham, cheese and white onion – yum. Disappointed that Walmart have stopped selling my Plugra butter – had to make a trip to Publix for this.


We had a little trip out to Shake Shack for tea - $30.82 and not as good a DLuxe Burger, so won’t be going back.

Back to the villa to watch A&E on the TV – we are loving First 48, Storage Wars and of course Dog The Bounty Hunter.

First 48 is my favourite TV show, it is on over here but I’ve already seen them in the states😁
