Mobile New bathroom ~ Nuance waterproof panels?

Has anyone got any experience of these?

They are by a company called Bushboard.

Our local bathroom showroom/ trusted builder's merchant recommended them. I've seen and heard if the acrylic panels, but they said these were a different class altogether and guaranteed 100% waterproof with a 15 year guarantee.

I've got teenage boys... it seems too good to be true! If anyone has them, are you happy with them?

Thanks

We've been looking for a new bathroom too and Nuance were at our local supplier, they are as far as I know the most expensive sort of boards. But their quality / design shows. Every showroom we've looked at recommended them.

We have the acrylic ones in en suite but wanted something a bit nicer for main bathroom.

The supplier also recommended multipanel and mermaid panels, which fall - price wise, between acrylic and Nuance.

The only teenage boy leakproof shower/s weíve ever had have been Kubex shower pods the panels and we paid a fortune for them 4 years ago absolutely rubbish
Now would I want a shower pod in the bathroom that visitors are in no unless they are in the guest room bathroom now rather pay the £500/700 and replace it when needed and have nice tiles etc that last longer than it
Never in the 25 years of having a pod had a leak the panels donít go there

Thanks for your replies. I'm not overly worried about the cost if it works as well as they reckon it does! I can offset some of the cost from savings on tiling too. Just curious if anyone had used it. I dont think the cubicles would work as we still need to keep the bath... x

how much are we talking for them? and how much compared to "normal" cheap waterproof panels? im guessing you just have them surrounding the shower area rather than doing the whole bathroom with them?

getting our bathroom done soon, so looking for inspiration (and any advances in modern materials to use)

£700 - £900 depending on design; that gets you a corner section, the size of a normal bath, so 1700 on the long side, 700 on the shorter side. It includes all sealants and glue too. We would hopefully get builders discount on top of that.

I think they are like Marmite. You love them or hate them!

Everything I know about them though hinges on how well they are installed. If the wall is slightly out of true with tiles you can make up for that with extra tile adhesive and the sheer size of the tile eats up the difference.
With panels they are prone to having areas that don't adhere properly and then the issues start.

I am a large rectangular tile person but I agree the panels can look nice.

We have had them in the boys bathroom since 2015, they still look as new and thatís with the shower being used twice every day at least.

More points to ponder!

We're going to speak to the guy who's installing it next week and go from there... he was Mr H's best man, so he'll tell us straight!

Really appreciate the replies. Thanks a million xx
