Hmmm, we holiday in Indian Shores 3 times every year; it is a typical relaxed beach town; there are restaurants walk-able from the various condo resorts along Gulf Blvd; within another 5-10 minutes drive, take your pick from 100's more!

Watersports, yes, there are places to rent various pieces of equipment/boats etc if you want to.

Shops, none of the beach towns are shopping destinations but yes, there are the usual suspects offering beach goods etc. Within a short drive, you're in Largo-take your pick of shops!

So, nothing to do? As much or as little as you want to do; just maybe not right outside your front door.
We don't go to Indian Shores for a place rammed with restaurants & shops around every corner; you can find that easier in the likes of Clearwater; that would not be for us at all.
We love the chilled, relaxed feel of Indian Shores not filled with massive high rises & with a soft white sand beach that you may spot a handful of other people on with you.
It's a beautiful place; hope this helps.

Thanks...we're not keen on what we have heard about Clearwater either, Indian Shores sounds as though it will have everything we need. We don't want to be shopping as such, just browsing as we go for a walk. As long as there are enough restaurants to choose from as I have a fussy eater... You obviously prefer it to AMI if you go there 3 times a year! Is there any accommodation that you would recommend? Thank you.

The Gulf Coast is wonderful but for your criteria did you consider the Atlantic coast?
