Jet2 and API help

Hi all,

Going to Portugal in a couple of days and I'm stressing over API. We're flying with Jet2 and I've checked in online and provided all the passport details, DOB etc but I don't think I've done the API.
I can't find anywhere on the manage my section of the booking process to do this. Has anyone flown with them? Can I do this at the airport?
We're renting a villa so will I need to provide the full address etc?

Any help, advise welcome!

Thank you

Clancey

Hello, reading the Jet2 site it has this under the FAQ

'Customers using our online check-in facility will be able to provide their data at the "fast bag-drop", if they have baggage to check-in, or at the departure gate if they have hand baggage only'

If that helps any

I knew Spain and USA require API but wasn't sure about Portugal. It's not on the list so I'm assuming you don't need to provide this information for flights to Portugal.

Sorry don't know about Portugal, we are flying to Spain with Jet2 next week. If you log in to manage my booking, then click manage my booking, there will be a tiny image of a passport. If it has a green tick on it, it means you've given your API. If not click on it to do so... that's if you need to do it for Portugal.

Thanks guys, I'm thinking that you don't have to do it for Portugal and thats why I can't find the right place on the manage my booking section.
But at least if I do, then it seems you can do it at the airport.
Thanks so much!

Only certain airlines require you to complete API, its nothing to do with the country you are travelling to.

That's not the case, the UK E-borders scheme means that Air, Rail & Cruise Operators have to collect API from ALL passengers travelling internationally into and out of the UK.

The info provided by the OP is sufficient info for this, the accommodation address is only required for the USA as part of API.
We used Jet2 earlier this year for Spain, the info we completed on the Jet2 site was enough for us to travel with no problems.

The following countries or states also require the API info.
USA, Mexico, Canada, Spain, Grenada, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados.

Sorry didnt really put this down right, what I actually meant was most airlines do it for you and only certain ones require you to fill the information in yourself. I couldnt find where to complete it for Cyprus and rung the tour operator to check Apologies
