Do you need an ESTA for Mexico?
A friend is going in a couple of weeks and they don't have ESTA's done. The TA hasn't mentioned it at all. Do they need an ESTA to get into Mexico?
Thanks Tracey

It's not an ESTA exactly...but they might need a visa. Believe it or not, Mexico isn't part of the USA!

Only if you are going to the USA via Mexico.

If you are flying direct, you do not need a visa or ESTA but you do need to fill in API. You will also be given a landing and customs card on the plane which you need to hand in at immigration.
There is a departure tax but your friend will need to check if it has been included in her ticket (most scheduled flights such as BA and Virgin include it in the ticket priced) but charters like First Choice etc tend not to.
