I just made some IHOP recipe buttermilk pancakes and drowned them in maple syrup and they were very delicious. On usual pancakes though I like strawberry jam.

For me it has to be orange juice and sugar... and for DH treacle (aka golden syrup), we're very traditional as it's the way we had them at home as children and it's just stuck...

Oh I like the idea of that, bananas in brown sugar. Ill try that.
Every pancake Tuesday, we have a pancake tea.

MAIN - dairylea cheese triangles with grilled bacon

DESERT - banana and golden syrup (me)
strawberries and Nutella and baby mallows (DS2)
strawberries, banana, syrup, choc sauce, mallows and
sprinkles (DS1) yuk
lemon and sugar (hubby)

hubby makes the most delicious buttermilk pancakes, hot of the griddle. yum yum. We started this when DS1 was about 7 months old (18 now) and we sat him in the kitchen in his high chair and gave him little bits of pancake, chocolate and mallow. Maybe that's why he puts it all on one pancake now. lol
