I have been looking for somewhere to eat midway between coming off statue cruises / battery park and the 9/11 memorial.
A colleague who just came back from NY recommended a diner called Georges (halfway walking between the two). (89 Greenwich St) -simple cheaper eats, diner fare but good range. (open at 6 am if awake mega early before going to SOI). Also street food in Zucotti park nearby there is a pizza place, Ho Yip chinese and a Gyros place plus carts. No idea if any of them are ok - but this is what he suggested. |

Our favourites from Our last visit in August. - Carmine's in Times Square (family style Italian) Junior's Times Square (food and cheesecake) Five Napkin Burger (burgers!) Don Antonio's Pizza, Hell's Kitchen (the most amazing pizza - you need to book!) Magnolia Bakery (cakes!) in the TOTR building, on the outside corner and keep an eye out for proper food trucks. They line up outside the big office buildings at lunchtime - we had the most delicious rolls/sandwiches and the we massive! Also Shake Shack in the Grand Central Station make breakfast burgers! 😊
