Mobile Gatwick currently trailing a flight connection for BA today.

Gatwick airport is currently trailing a flight connection for domestic to international today. We where off the plane from Glasgow and seating down for breakfast within 10 minutes of stepping off the aircraft. Hopefully this will become permanent.

They used to do. Newcastle to Gatwick flight. Would make life so much easier if they brought it back.

Most likely not sending you out with domestic arrivals and back in through security again

Thought maybe that. After lots of times doing just that , in sept last year we flew Glasgow- manchester - Orlando with Flybe-Thos cook.
It was so simple compared to Gatwick palava.

I do remember it always as complicated at Gatwick though.

So instead of going out the exit and then having to go back though the main security we basically walked up the jet bridge, showed our onward boarding pass and directed through a set of doors and up a set of stairs and where right next to the boarding area of gate 5. 2 minutes later we where sitting down at Wondertree for some breakfast No extra security at all.

If this becomes permanent this is a big plus. Having done the north to Gatwick a number of times it never made sense that we were unable to just "connect" on to the next flight.

Was always frustrating flying in with BA when they used the North Terminal, having to walk past signs that say flight connections that would take you straight into the departure lounge and instead having to go through security again.

That sounds great, we’re going to be flying from Glasgow to Tampa in April and it will certainly speed up the transit 👍
