We don’t talk about holiday no no no- Britannia cruise Day 9 Cadiz

Tuesday 26th-Cadiz

Woke up this morning and out the window we could see the city of Cadiz. We didn’t bother rushing, got ready and even packed a few things away ready for home. Really don’t want to go home though.

Breakfast at the buffet. I actually had some full English but didn’t like most of it. Girls had sausage sandwich. Then off for a walk into Cadiz.

We went to the town square but not a lot was there so we walked to the beach and had a look around as the little castle things, wasn’t warm enough for the beach so the kids played in the playground and then we had a slow walk back, had a nosy in some shops but nothing took our fancy. We opted to go back to the boat.

We got ready for swimming but kids club was at 12.30. Scarlett said she would like to go and Georgia wanted to stay with us at the pool. It’s not like Scarlett to go somewhere on her own as she is quite an introvert but we think it has something to do with a boy called Tommy who she fancies and he likes her too. He has an earring and everything. Lol.

Georgia and Scott went in the pool while I took Scarlett to kids club after feeding her. They were both in the hot tub when I got back. Soon as I’m there and Georgia pipes up “glad your back, we are ready for lunch now” obviously expecting me to get it. I went and got hot dog and burger with fries. Scott ordered some drinks.

Was slightly annoyed at the sun bed hogging since we didn’t see this family beside us for hours yet their towels were there. Not fair when others are looking for spaces.


Kids club was over at 2.45 so both kids went in the pool then we played the juke box quiz, usually we are really bad at the quiz but this had colours in the title or artist. We got loads. Would have won probably.

We went back to the cabin to get ready but I felt a bit poorly so I fell asleep for an hour while everyone else chilled out.
We got ready for dinner. Went to the MDR. Kids had sausage and mash again. I had soup then the ham then frangipane. Scott had asparagus, ham and cheesecake.

We did go see the house band for about 15 mins but everyone was very tired, and I was really poorly. So early night for us.
