Premier Inn Heathrow: Early Check-in for Ł10

We have booked the Premier Inn Bath Road for October and I note it says on the website:

Can I check in early?

Early check-in is available from 10am for an additional Ł10, and this will be payable at reception on arrival. Early check-in is subject to availability, so please give our reception team a call within 24 hours of arrival to check.

Has anyone done this before with any success? - Can’t recall it being discussed on here before….

Never heard or done it, but can see that it’s feasible as most people have checked out by at least 8.
