Park Booking
I understand you now have to book a park on the app but can hop parks in the afternoon without booking a new park.
Are you still required to book a park for afternoons and evenings if you haven't been to one in the mornings or can you just turn up? Thanks Peter |

Yes, you have to book your first park of the day, regardless of what time you plan to visit it.

Thank you
We are going mid September, how far in advance do we have to book the parks? How easy would it to be to book on the day? Will the allocations be taken for the parks? I assume I can just book a park everyday but if you change your mind do you still have to visit the original park first. I liked the flexibility previously to visit around weather and just how you felt on the day. Thanks Peter |

September this year? I would be booking your park days now. And yes you could change them on the day, BUT this is all reliant on the park you want not being at capacity!
It's best to have a rough plan of your parks in advance and book them. Otherwise you run the risk of not getting into any parks. We're going in less than 2 weeks and I booked our park days a long time ago... Just because I like planning and wanted to have a rough idea of where we would be each day.

I'm going in September too and have already booked our park days. Hard to say what availability will be like or if you'll be able to change on the day, as crowds have been really unpredictable this year, so they could well be higher than previous September crowds. If you look at now on the park availability calendar, then most of August has limited park availability :
disneyworld/availa...ment =tickets September is all green at present, but every month this year so far has had limited or no availability on the day.

A few weeks before we went in May every park was green. As we got closer to the date some parks starting to be booked up some days. Closer and closer and they were all pretty much booked out for the entire trip. We were able to rearrange one day a couple of times while over there but I wouldn’t want to rely on that. It costs nothing to book them so I would just do it now.

I’d book ASAP, do not leave it any longer to get the parks booked, before you park hop you need to scan into the park you have a reservation for or you can’t park hop

I'm going in September too and booked my park days ages ago. I booked a couple of ADRs on my 60 day mark and swapped 2 around then.
