A plea from one TUI transfer customer to another…

Just flown in to Melbourne with tui and we are taking the free transfer to the hotel…

The transfer bus can’t go unless everyone’s on it and they’re very reluctant to let it go for fear of leaving someone behind so my plea is… if you are booked as a package and you don’t intend to use the bus transfer PLEASE let TUI know at the airport otherwise you’re letting us all sit here for another hour waiting for passengers who have clearly had no intention of turning up 😞

We are on our way now thank goodness ☺️ The baggage carousel broke at Melbourne too so even though we landed at 3.30 we didn’t actually leave the airport until 5.30!

how long was the transfer? out of curiosity and was the coach nice? lol

Transfer was around 1hr 20 to Rosen inn lake buena vista. Coach was fine - just what you’d expect in the U.K. really

I’m glad this has came up as I was thinking about this recently. We have car hire so won’t be using the transfer option.

Would I just let the rep know as you leave the airport or call ahead to TUI?

There’s a rep stood in the arrivals hall as you come through passport control so yes

Hmm potentially but as a courtesy and given how easy it is to speak to a rep as you come through customs to me it just makes sense to give them a quick heads up - they could definitely have something on the app though to make it even easier to confirm your intention to use it (or not)
