AA and VeriFLY

We fly Friday with AA to Miami and I’ve completed VeriFLY with the locator number and got all our passes.

On the AA app though it says incomplete next to submit documents. When I select it through the app it just says come back later.

Does anybody know if I’ll need to upload to AA as well and when I’ll be able to do it as it just says “see ‘know before you go’” which doesn’t actually tell me what to do when.

I can’t remember if I did anything else. I’m sure that as once VeriFLY was done it updated a day later. It said we couldn’t check in online but then did allow us to and issued the boarding passes.
I remember now - once I scanned our passports in it worked. That was when Online Check in opened.

You scanned your passports to the AA app?

When you go in to check in online through the AA app it gives you the opportunity to scan in your passports.
I’m having the opposite problem however! I have uploaded our vaccination pass and attestation via the AA app but can’t check in online! It just keeps taking me back to the main screen when I’ve completed everything and doesn’t give me my boarding passes! Been going round in circles all morning!

Oh no. Hope you can get it sorted.

I’ve just seen someone saying the same on fb, not sure if there’s an issue right now, or it could have been you on fb too 😂

I often end up talking to the same people across both fb and here and get quite confused 😂

Incase it helps anybody else in the future.

The AA app updated after 12:50pm which is our flight time on Friday.

It showed ‘verify travel documents’ as complete and had added ‘contact information’ which I filled out.

If I click on ‘VeriFLY travel documents’ it shows each of us as incomplete. I’m guessing this is because it’s pulled it from VeriFLY instead of me uploading to the AA app.

I’m not going to add anything more to the AA app, will wait and see if check in works as is, if not I’ll add the docs again.

Update - at some point this afternoon the AA app changed to show ‘Attestation form’ incomplete. This field wasn’t there before.

I’ve completed it for all of us and it showed complete before the screen refreshed to just ‘verify travel documents’ and ‘contact information’ as it did earlier today.

Now when I select ‘verify travel documents’ it shows completed for all of us.

Looks like it’s all set for check in on Thursday now.
