We gave the kids full control of what we were doing today.
What we didn't realise is that it would turn into a disaster 🤦🏼

They talked about going to Volcano Bay the previous night but then they were bombing into the pool for about 4 hours so when they were finally done with that we suggested not paying $27 for parking when we would have about 3 hours there 🤣

We decided to go get the kids a McDonald's instead and head to Disney Springs.

All this good food here, and McDonald's is what the kids want 😳
We said we would get their food and go to Buffalo Wild Wings for ourselves.

The kids loved their McDonald's, they said it tasted much better than at home. I had a nugget and they do taste better!

Nobody seems to know how the VIP shop and dine card works though so it's pretty pointless to have 🙄 twice we have tried to use it now and nobody has a clue.

Then disaster... as we were driving out of McDonald's we heard a scraping along the floor.
We stopped the car and got out to look.

OUR BUMPER HAD FALLEN OFF! 😳

I'm just so glad it happened in McDonald's car park and not on the I4!

We tried looking for a local Avis but they had all closed at 1pm. We contacted Andy@DFCH too for advice. (Really quick helpful reply) but it meant we had to go back to the airport to sort it out.

Obviously we couldn't drive all that way with our bumper half off and scraping the floor so we went to Publix and paid $10 for some heavy duty tape.

We did notice when we collected the car that it had tape on the bumper already (We did a video on it) and the car should never have been given to us in that condition.

So we give the kids a day in control and now we end up driving to the airport to sort out our car! 😭

We were getting Buffalo Wild Wings first though!
That place!
Buffalo chicken wings mac and cheese 😍 and the cheese curds!
That definitely made us feel better about our current situation!

Back to the airport we go then...
They gave us a new car, which actually is slightly better than the old one but they were shocking! SO RUDE!
Considering our bumper fell off it 'wasn't their problem'

We were also blocked in from filling the car up with fuel so we were expecting a bill from them. (luckily one didn't come)
Just beware that they just don't care when things go wrong!

After that was sorted it was almost 5pm. We decided to go to Disney Springs (which will always be Downtown Disney in my head)

Michael got some coffee from the Joffreys shop,

Paige got Callum a pin with her own money... So lovely.

Then we let her into the M&M shop...

Out she comes with a pot of blue m&m's

Do we ever learn?! 😳

At home, sugar is closely monitored because it turns her into a raving loonatic but clearly in Orlando anything goes! 😐

Same for us too though, Everglazed donuts have been on our list for a while. So good! And they do UK military discount here too.

Kids were wearing their Liverpool shirts after we won the FA Cup final. A man who was clearly a Chelsea fan started gobbing off... It was funny at first then he just kept going on and on...
I think he was drunk but how embarrassing.
They are kids mate! And don't touch them to 'rub the badge off the shirt'

We had a reservation for Cheesecake Factory at 8pm so it was time to leave.
We get there and there are so many people outside waiting.

I'm all smug thinking we have a reservation until I check it and we have driven to the wrong one 🤦🏼

Here we are with a buzzer and a 45 minute wait, sat in the car with a massive storm!

Paige obviously needs a wee so we have to brave the storm!

WHAT?!?! So the ponchos that I purchased and told you specifically to keep in the bag everyday for Florida storms, you just ignore...

Now we really need them and they are on the villa table!

Why oh why don't they listen?!

I guess we will just have to RUN!

We were so close to the door but we got so wet in those few seconds. I couldn't believe it! 😳

We had waited almost an hour by this point. Nobody was leaving because of the storm.
I don't blame them, I wouldn't either!

When we got seated, it was so worth it!
We had the best server too, so lovely.
The burgers are so good here

But the cheesecake! 😍

Absolute show stopper!
We got Salted Caramel and Cinabon Cinnamon swirl or the Cinamon bum as Paige calls it.
We got another one to take home too.

Whilst not the best day, we made the best of it 😁

Remember seeing this on your stories, what a nightmare! Horrible having to waste holiday time on it.

When are men like! We organise and plan and they have a great idea to do their own thing 😁 and undo it.
