Wooden Blinds
Hi...I am wanting to get wooden blinds or faux ones even.
I have sent for some samples and some say pure white but do not look that white. What colour white did you go for? Did you get tapes or not? Any reasons...for or against?. Any company you can recommend? I know they will be expensive...but now I have this so wanted bay window I just want it to look nice. Thanks. |

We have just ordered ours as we moved house a week or so ago.
We’ve gone for the same ones we had in our last house. They’re faux wooden 50mm slats in the colour snow. We went for strings again as not keen on the tapes personally, I think they can make windows look a little busy. I can also imagine discolouring could be more obvious with tapes 🤔

We’ve had a few wooden blinds from blinds4uk. Really pleased with them all, good quality and very easy to install.
Can’t help with colour as we’ve got dark wood and grey only. We’ve got strings as I prefer the look of them and worried the tapes would get grumpy when cleaning the blinds. Is it a square bay? Of not be very careful with measurements due to the depth of the blinds and their head units. |

Our current ones are from Blinds2go.
We have pure white wooden with tapes in our rooms now apart from the kitchen and bathroom where we went with faux wood pvc blinds for those particular rooms, as they can be prone to a damp atmosphere/heat. We’ve had faux wood previously in all rooms but personally feel the real wood shut much tighter. Personally we prefer the thick tapes to strings as we prefer the look plus the larger slats. But that’s just personal choice. |
