Messaging from Flamingo Land regarding their reopening, coupled with revised park maps seems to suggest that Inversion will not be opening this year

Week booked for flamingo Land for August, so looking forward to some kind of break away from everything. Love staying in the cabins. Comfy and free entry to the park and zoo for the whole week. Taking grandson so cant wait and nor can my daughter to have a break from son

I have added this to the first post, but thought I would pop in here as well. Some new and returning events at Alton Towers this year. The new Mardi Gras event sounds great.

They have set up a stage at the bottom of Towers St with picnic tables so it is all very socially distanced.

Drayton Manor Rapids are currently been rethemed and plan to reopen in June. Stormforce 10, Shockwave, Maelstrom and the 4D cinema is currently been getting work done as well with a wave swinger as the new attraction this season.

Following themeparkandy’s info I have updated the original post with the Drayton Manor news along with a couple of photos that were released this week

I've been lucky enough to ride CrocDrop already! It's a good ride, not too thrilling but great for it's target age group. It's also brilliantly themed, a great choice!

So today is the day that indoor attractions at UK theme parks can re-open.

That means that The World of David Walliams at Alton Towers, featuring the Gangsta Granny ride has now opened for the first time. Here are a few photos - any one planning on visiting to give this new area a try?

At other parks, the new Black Mirror Labyrinth is due to open on Saturday 22nd May at Thorpe Park, and the new Mythica area at Legoland opens on 29th May.

We went to Alton Towers last week and loved the David Walliams area. Great theming and the ride is really well done. Lovely character interaction throughout too. If you ignored the cold and the rain you could almost believe you were in Florida!

We’re off to visit relatives down south on Sunday & Monday (but staying for a couple of nights at Premier Inn). On our check-out day (Tuesday) we’re off to Paulton’s Park. Can’t wait to set foot in Tornado Springs! Just a pity that Paulton’s closes at 5.30pm - seems quite early as last year it was a beautiful evening. I often wonder whether it’s because they’re more geared to younger families, or whether there’s something in the planning permission of the park saying they have to close this early. Would love them to stay open later in the summer!
