We currently have an Olympus TG-4. This has been superseded by a 5 or even possibly a 6.

It is a great camera. You can drop it on concrete, so they say. Pictures are excellent and it is brilliant for general photos as well as Discovery Cove, Waterparks etc etc.

A review of the TG-6.

Clearly not cheap… but quality and memories recorded never are!

Just back from Maldives, my daughter bought a waterproof cover for her mobile phone and used that for undewatering shots. They were good. Turtles and lots of fish, plus her kids under water

The loss of even a high quality camera due to water ingress would be cheaper than the loss of a quality Mobile Phone. I certainly would not risk my IPhone 12… and there are better, more expensive camera phones than mine!

Whilst the camera carries a 1 year guarantee against such, with a mobile in an underwater case, it is unlikely that there would be any recourse whatever. No phone for the rest of the vacation, either.

You pays the money and takes your chances.

Looks like my phone is having issues so this could be a great idea for the kids to use it.

I've had a Panasonic FT-25 for about 8 years, always take it to Discovery Cove and water parks
