An Enchanted Cruise - Getting There

Getting there - we had a lovely sunny day for our long drive from the NE to LHR and we got there in good time to drop the car at the T3 Meet & Greet then find our way to the Hilton Garden Inn at T2 (easy once you know how!). Our room was ready, so we dropped the bags and headed back to T2 for our Express Tests. With fingers crossed we went for dinner at the hotel - it was really good, and not badly priced - and enjoyed it even more when the 2 negative emails arrived 35 mins later! Then it was an early night ready for our first long haul flight in 2.5 years.
Check in next morning was painless, and we were soon sat in ‘dibbers row' on the plane with a glass of bubbly each. Happy days.
The food onboard was quite good considering the reports I'd read on here. I had chicken and sweet potato pasta, and the afternoon tea scone was still warm and tasty. Plenty of drinks too, no complaints here.
Miami airport immigration was an absolute shambles / nightmare - there must have been 2000 people in the hall, only 3 desks open and we felt as if we'd been in there for hours — wait, we had!
We were very pleased to get onto the transfer bus we'd booked with Princess cruise line and soon arrived at the Miami Lakes hotel for the night. It was in a great location on a lovely Main Street full of families enjoying Friday evening, so we got ice creams from Coldstone Creamery and sat next to a fountain to eat them, just delirious with joy at being there.
After breakfast next morning - with POG juice - we were transferred to Port Lauderdale to board Enchanted Princess, and before long we'd put the cases in our cabin and had our first cocktail in hand. Let the cruise begin!

A Dirty Banana! Have you got Princess Plus? There are so many cocktails and drinks to choose from - different menus at each bar, and being able to order from anywhere with the medallion app is so good.

Yes we do have princess plus , I shall aim to work my way down the list
