Great tip
I never label but DH does if putting into the freezer. His latest defrosted chilli turned out to be a tub of vegan, gluten free chilli. He wasn't happy but it was a great dinner for me that night

good point. lasagna can be tricky in the microwave. it can end up crispy and a weird texture in places. i always defrost it in the fridge overnight, and then reheat gently in the oven at 160 for half an hour or so. same for pies (although if they have uncooked filling, they go in at 180-200)

I always add a little passata in the dish around the lasagne too as it helps keep it moist.
