Car hire prices seem to be dropping…

…but very slowly.
Checking prices for our November trip and I’m seeing a slow, slight price drop.
Still very height but seem to be on the right track downwards

Yes - our September price has dropped by over £100. Hopefully a sign of more reasonable prices as things get back to normal!

Our 14 day August car hire (Alamo/brits) is now £980 down from £1350 and we've changed from Standard SUV to Premium Elite SUV so heading in the right direction...

Great it's coming down for you. Amazing @Chris106 to have an upgrade along with £370 saving.

What's the story when you have paid for car hire with DFCH? Is it worth watching prices to see if it comes down, or bother?

I've seen people here saying they were able to rebook, but we're totally new to this so have no clue.

You can log into your booking and just amend it if you see the price drop ...and refund due would be processed back to the card you paid with. We did this is January for our booking when prices dropped the week before we travelled and are doing the same (checking daily! ) for our next trip 👍😉

Thanks for that. Just checked ours for September and it’s down £260.

Someone should tell Virgin, our initial quote in Feb has gone up £100. Good job we went else where.
