Anyone had wire transfer declined? DVC Resale

Hi
we are having a nightmare trying to pay for the DVC resale through XE, we have spent 6 hours on the phone plus a hour visit to my branch to confirm its not a fraudulent payment.

anyone else had issue sending money by wire transfer? its stressful as it is! ROFR three times now this

Was it definitely sent as a wire transfer and not ACH? If it wasn’t they will of declined it, it’ll make its way back to XE, but keep trying to call xe as they can resend as wire

We had the same problem with XE. They automatically send money via ACH (because it’s cheaper I think) but DVC Resales bank don’t accept them. You have to specifically ask XE to send it via wire transfer. Had a fraught few days but got it sorted in the end.

Sorry we used our own bank & apart from having to go into Branch was pretty painless, of course since TSB & Lloyds split & our nearest in now Carlisle I'm not sure that I could still say that!

had issues with transferwise and then swapped to XE and it went through no issues, however the company I was dealing with did accept ACH so I would check that they are definitely sending via wire and advise them of the difference. Went through for me within 24 hours

Yep - had issues with mine as it was sent ACH as well, got returned, managed to get it done by wire in the end.
