London

Hi, can anyone recommend any free things to do in london with kids? My kids are 2 & 8 and looking for a cheap day out. Preferably outdoors. We have done st james park several times along with buckingham palace, london eye, shrek & sealife aquarium.

Thanks!

Have you been to Crystal place to see the dinosaurs?
It’s a shame they repainted them as when I was little they were all bright colours but now they’re more “natural”.
Nice park though.

Not free but very reasonable are the Uber Boats along the Thames. You get to see so much. If you get off at the O2 you can then take the Skyline across the Thames again for a small cost

Not outside but one for the long list - the Museum of London Docklands is fascinating for all ages and covers the history of the London docks.

Not free but an excellent day out is Paradise Park in Broxbourne. It’s a great place for dinosaurs (reminded us of Universal) and they have a zoo as well as a splash pool. They have plenty of picnic areas and they are a full day. Visit London have 31 free things to do with kids if that helps?

I may have misunderstood you but the Shard isn’t free to go up.
Might you be thinking of the sky garden?

The Time Out website is great for freebie events in London, also if you (or someone you know) has Sky there’s often free tickets on the My Sky app under the VIP section.
