Still get the same level of housekeeping on Disney cruises as we always did prior to covid.

We stayed at POR in May. They gave us fresh towels and topped up the coffee machine every other day but they did skip it occasionally. Our bedsheets were only changed once. They never made the beds either. In our second week, we rang reception to ask if we could get the sheets changed again and some more coffee for the machine and they sent someone that day. I remember they used to do a full clean and make towel animals and when I was little, I remember them putting my toys in positions like they were watching tv etc. I know they’re really understaffed atm for housekeepers so hopefully things will improve. I wouldn’t tip for what we got this trip.

I stayed in the All Stars for two weeks in January and had almost the exact same experience. Really was a let down. Part of expensive hotel stays is housekeeping etc.
Disney are understaffed where they want to be, there are loads of staff standing around in resort shops waiting to take even more money off you etc Its definitely lost its shine for me

I’ll say it again. Housekeeping is officially a non-tipped position. Absolutely nobody expects you to tip housekeeping and never have. If you wish to, that is your choice. I have done so in the past but unlike restaurant staff there is absolutely no expectation to tip housekeeping staff.

Just back from wilderness lodge and akl. WL wasn't too bad but AKL was very poor. One day I went to the front desk 5 times as we had run out of everything. They eventually came at 1am.

I think Ive noticed it more because Im here for a month at a time, and only spend a few hours in the parks or swimming and just enjoy the resort, so the constant interruptions are really annoying
I wish we could elect a time period rather than the randomness of it all.

I decided after my last trip that I will not be staying in a deluxe Disney hotel again. I had a split stay between boardwalk Inn and Contemporary. I caused such a fuss at Boardwalk Inn that I got onto a daily housekeeping list, but then I moved to Contemporary and they did not come at all, not even to empty the bin.
Some people will say what is the issue, you can ring, but when I had cause to ring, which was a couple of times, I found the phone queues very long as in nearly an hour. This is not what I want to do to get more toilet roll and teabags. I also think I have paid over £500 a night, I would like some basic housekeeping. As for tipping, this would be the very least of my concerns. I do not tip housekeeping anyway, but even if I was a housekeeping tipper, well no housekeeping then no tip.
