DVC Mousekeeping

Morning all,

We have our first ever DVC vacation this September and wondered if any of you DVC Veterans could answer some Mousekeeping questions as there seems to be varying responses online.
I know that we get a T&T service every 4th day but if we wanted fresh towels every day can we pay for that service? If so any idea what it costs? Will the take away the old towels?
Seen some pics on another site of wet towels dumped in the hallway at VGF2 which got bigger by the day with nobody taking them away!
I also heard recently that trash was being emptied every day during the security check?
As always many thanks for the responses.

Housekeeping at the DVC Resorts is better than current Housekeeping at the Cash Resorts as contractually they have to deal with Members in a different manner.

We have had three trips already this year and had no problems at all compared to those who are staying on cash in other Resorts.

If you are staying for a long period you get a full clean on day 4 and trash and towel on day 8 and then repeat. If you are staying for a shorter period you only get trash and towel on day 4.

The bins tend to get emptied every day as they conduct the security checks.

If you want more towels ring up and they will deliver them. We stack used ones in the bathroom on the floor in a neat pile. However you aren’t entitled to fresh towels every day.

If your stay is 7 days or less, you'll get trash and towel on day 4 full clean day 8... If your stay is 8 days or more, than you get full clean on day 4, trash & towel on day 8.

If you're in a 1 or 2 bed you'll have a washing machine so can wash your own towels, that's what we do so have never needed to pay for extra towels.

We've had daily trash emptying this year on our trips.

There are plenty of towels out by the pool. We often walk back with a few around our shoulders ...

We usually tumble dry our towels after use which saves having wet towels laying around. We also sometimes give the towels a quick tumble dry before using them so they are nice and fluffy / warm when you get out of the shower or bath.

They have been emptying the trash daily since we went in summer 2019, they also did it Xmas 2019 and Xmas 2021.
I think legally they have no right to enter the room daily for a security check with DVC as it’s our timeshare, so a daily trash service was how they got around that difficulty.

I can’t be sure because we are good at taking our trash out daily ourselves, but I don’t think they did this at SSR in March 2022. We got T&T on day four with no issues though!

We are here now. Trash every day and service every 4 days.

However our service days have been very late. On my last full service day I had to phone housekeeping as when we returned from the parks at 5.25pm our room still hadn’t been done! Finally arrived at 5.45pm and seemed unconcerned when I asked why it was so late in the day.

We were at SSR at Xmas, I am pretty sure the bin was emptied every day. Easy to miss though as we never saw them.
I was in once when they came at Beach Club.
