DAS - How many?
How strict are Disney currently regarding how many can be added to a DAS pass?
We have two in our group who will be applying for a DAS pass and are going in a group of 14 in total. Last time we went (2019) we were able to have 8 people (the DAS user plus an additional 7) on each pass but we’ve been reading they are strictly enforcing the rules so only 6 can be on a DAS pass.

The problem is that the system is fully automated now. It used to be that the cast member allocating a return time could use their judgement. You can still have more tickets linked but when you pick a return time in the app you can only select 6 guests total. You can change which 5 ride with the DAS holder throughout the day though.

As Donna says it’s 6 but you can change who rides as long as the pass holder rides
It’s a faff being on your phone but if needs must etc We actually found we cancelled a lot of rides as we’d done them early so we could stack for later in the evening etc |

In April we were a party of 7 travelling with 2 children eligible for DAS. We registered at MS in Epcot on our first day. On a previous visit we had been told that each accompanying guest could only be added to one pass so we couldn't swap around unless we returned to GS.
Typically as we approached GS one child started a major meltdown. The CM was awesome and guided us to a quiet space apart. He offered to put us all on the one DAS but I explained that as they have totally different needs it is sometimes just better for us to split up. We ended up with one 'double headed' DAS which enabled us all to ride together or split up and ride 2 different rides at the same time. We were able to select the rides and change the riders accompanying each child within the app. The CM had to confer with a manager to sign it off but it worked very well for us.
