Revolut declined in random shops?

Seems bizarre! I can’t understand how some people can use it and some can’t. I checked all my settings too and all was as it was in previous shops. Who knows, the mystery continues. I’ve asked Revolut themselves to see if I can get an answer as to whether Walmart is an issue.

Here now, used revolut at the self service check outs at Turkey Lake Road walmart with no issues. Useful tap & pay and it asked for pin but that's all

We couldn't use revolut in Walmart in April in New York and again in Walmart in Florida the last few weeks. Everywhere else was ok.

We also had an issue with Revolut in Walmart on the 192. Went through the self service and till wouldn't take the card but a helpful customer service guy saw me struggling, took me over to his desk and did something on his terminal and the card went through. He said that it quite often happens with international cards. Other bonus was the shopping was 2 cents cheaper with him than at the self service have no idea why.

Can I ask are those saying they’ve had problems using a physical Revolut card or their virtual card? We’ve got both and use the Walmart on the 192 so I seriously hope it’s just an issue with virtual cards

My Nationwide debit card doesn’t work in some Walmarts but they will accept my Nationwide credit card in the same store so it might be the store not your card.

I dont have a revolut physical card, but have time to order one if needed.
Can you use the app to pay in stores / restaurants etc?
