I am currently in Pembs having a girlie break with my daughter. Today we went via Pembroke to find Barafundle Bay. It was a very straight forward road passing through Carew and we parked at Stackpole Quay which is a gentle 1/2 mile from the bay … but silly us actually left the car park through a different pathway and ended up walking nearly 7 miles 😂

No regrets though as we followed a beautiful trail passing 8 arch bridge, Bosheston Lakes, down to Broad Haven and across the coastline to Barafundle Bay!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable day, finishing off with a meal at Mad Toms fish restaurant in Narberth and then back to our Pod for a late dip in the hot tub 🥰

Some photos of our day:

Also St Govens Chapel near Bosherton, legend has it that if you count the steps down to it and back up, they are never the same number! Very steep though so no good if you have mobility issues. The road to it passes through the tank range so can be closed sometimes, but I expect you can check planned closures online somewhere.

We stayed there last year and it was beautiful.

We loved St David's and went on a brilliant rib boat trip to see the seals. I can't remember the company but it was in the main street next to the ice cream shop.
The cathedral was spectacular.

We stayed at Saundersfoot too and visited Tenby. We took the boat to Caldey Island and saw loads of red squirrels there. 😍 monastery, chocolate making and walks, plus a cafe.

We have made the exact same mistake as you did and took the wrong turn and missed Barafundle Beach 😂 Luckily we enjoy walking the coastal path too 😀

Lovely photos, so pleased you are enjoying your break away xx

freshwater west was our favourite spot - lovely beach and if you are a Harry Potter fan you can visit dobbys grave

DS13 also enjoyed the viewing platform at Castemartin military base watching the tanks there was a schedule on the website

The Bishops in St davids was the best meal we had in the week we were away so would also recommend

Have a fabulous time
We are regular visitors to Pembrokeshire and agree about The Bishops in St David’s Also agree about Angle and Freshwater west, both are our favourite beaches in the area.

We are spending a weekend in Pembrokeshire in 2 weeks time. I hope this beautiful weather lasts for our stay
