Yes! We got married in Leu Gardens in 2007 and had to go to the courthouse to sort out paperwork beforehand, so had a mooch around then. I can’t say it was particularly memorable!

We've been to Lake Eola Park, next to the business district. The Stadium for a "Magic" Basketball game. The Harry P Leu gardens a bit further North and the Central Florida fairground on East Colonial for an exhibition. Went to Church Street Station, many many years ago. The Central business area has some fine buildings, best viewed from a distance 😇

Went to the Art Gallery of Orlando once, that was fine, but we drove past the nightclub where there had been a mass shooting the week before. That was a bit disquieting.

I think we have been there, DH wanted to visit a hobbies shop. It was by a Burger King and in the car park was a wreck of a car riddled with bullet holes. DH a wanted to take photos, i said let’s just get out of here!
We have also driven to a different place and took a wrong turning and think we found a correction centre, was way off track but luckily survived!

Dozens of times. So much more in Orlando than Disney.

Yes - when I was MUCH younger regularly went to gay clubs there (c30 years again) - and passed Pulse Club in May/June while driving through on way somewhere - some parts OK but never seen so many massage offerings and liquor stores with the delightful street trade ; we drove back a different route (it reminded us of Schitts Creek but with drugs, alcohol and street walkers - mid morning !)

Lots of times, and not any more ‘sketchy’ than anywhere else. We’ve been to the History Center twice, had the wonderful Jazz Brunch at the swanky Grand Bohemian Hotel (much nicer than any Disney Hotel!), at least twice to the Bob Carr Theatre and a few times to the Walt Disney Theatre in the Dr Phillips centre for opera/ ballet. It is by no means a ghetto. The Sunday farmers market is great and the Thornton Park area is very upscale indeed. It’s just a city where ordinary people live and work.

With your USA wide travels, I am in no way surprised that curiosity and a sense of adventure led you into the midst!
