One site food recommendations

Having only tried qs on site food options, we would like to try at least one sit down restaurant at one of the Disney hotels on our next trip
Any recommendations? Any must do’s
Don’t want fine dining, or character dining, just a great table service option

That if we can even get a reservation

I'd go for Trattoria Al Forno if you like Italian, or Ale & Compass for more varied options. Loads of suggestions in my food reports too.

We haven’t eaten in many sit down places in the hotels. But we love the Hoop Dee Doo. I know it’s a show, so not really in a hotel, but I just love the vibe at Fort Wilderness. And we like ‘rustic’ food , so ribs and chicken do us fine.
Also though we ate twice at Whispering Canyon Cafe in December, which lets us see the magnificent Wilderness Lodge.
We had lunch one day and went back on Christmas Day for breakfast. Both were excellent and right up our street. And we felt we had a bit of value for our money as well, and the fantastic boat trip over from MK.
