Getting to Gatwick etc

Hmmm. Coming home, 4 of us so up to 8 suitcases... (we're in BA premium).

No way is that fitting in our car. We've got a trailer - can you even take a trailer in the car park (or do you have to pay for 2 spaces or something?)

One way car hire is working out £300 each way !

Other option is taxi - but to south wales its £600 return (which might be best option)

Wow 8 cases for 4 people lol 😯
We are a family of 5 and get everything into 2 large cases and pack 2 large empty holdalls to come back. We have a roof box that we take to store the extra luggage on way home. Is this an option for you ?

I assume they may be "nesting" the suitcases on the way out just like we do.

A medium inside a large going out so you can bring two full ones back.

Mick

PS I no solution though

Have PMd you as a fellow South Wales Dibber, but I would consider the train potentially. I was very impressed with how easy it was when I did this in May.

I don't know the make up of your party but what about sending some home by train?

Maybe free up the whole of the back seats for luggage and two catch a train?

Mick

PS Sorry should read pchivvy's post first

Not sure what the exchange rate has to do with anything when it’s in the UK and using GBP
