I am using a company that is charging me £400 return (5 people and 5 large cases)

Dropping off at Gatwick and picking up from Heathrow. I can send you the details if you like, just let me know.

Other option for you, which we have done several times, is National express to the airport with an overnight stay at the airport hotel and then pick up in a taxi on the way home.
