Help with the following would be appreciated

We’re travelling next year and have the following booked through virgin...

Flights, universal accommodation and universal tickets

I still need to book Discovery cove ( waiting for Black Friday ) and both Disney accommodation and tickets. This is where I need help.

I’m thinking of booking our Disney accommodation and tickets direct with Disney because seem to they allow a split stay. Move hotels, tickets still valid. Whereas Virgin are telling me - tickets are only linked to one hotel. Move hotel i’d have to buy tickets again.

There’s 3 of us travelling, myself and my 2 girls. Trying to balance what we would like with the easiest of options.

I’m thinking either 10 nights (including tickets and dining deal ) at WL then moving across to BC for 2 nights

Or

1 night music or pop then, 10nights BC (to included tickets and dining ) then 1 night music or pop at the end.

Both scenarios work out at with about £30 between them.

Ideally i’d like to stay BC for the 12 nights but my budget doesn’t cover this. So have thought of the above to incorporate it somehow.

I think i’d Prefer just 1 move. Would be very happy with WL.

After our Disney stay we will be off to universal for 4 nights.

1 move or 2 at Disney ?

What would you do ?

Do Disney move luggage for you ?

Can you use facilities before checking in / after checking out ?

Thank you

My choice would be the 2 deluxe resorts - WL and BC, and yes Bell services move luggage (just for a tip), so easy to do.
You can use all the facilities or head to a park as soon as you check in, bell services will store your luggage until your room is ready. You can also use facilities the day you check out.

I would book direct with Disney. You can do this via topcashback too.

I’m not sure why Virgin won’t allow you to book hotel only for one of the Disney stays? You can only get the dining credit with the hotel you book tickets with but there’s no reason why they couldn’t do two hotels. You can book hotel only with them. However, I would also do the two deluxe resorts. Doing a value at the end will feel like a step down. I also wouldn’t do a single night at a Disney hotel before your package stay as you won’t be able to access your park tickets. I know you might not want to if moving from Universal but I’d prefer the option.

Thank you.

I’ve just looked at topcashback and have sent them a message to find out what percent I would receive for the type of booking i’m thinking of doing as I couldn’t find it on the site. Everything helps though so thank you again.

The agent said it’s because of the contract that Virgin have with Disney.

Yes, I think your right, doing value at the end may well feel like a step down.

On arrival day I don’t think we would go to a park. Probably an explore around the hotel, a swim and something to eat.

I think it’s more they want you to book 5 days or more. You can book single days seperately through Virgin holidays - hotel only tab

The Disney tickets would be valid for the full 14 days over 18. The dining credits don't cross over to the next hotel. They would only be applied to your first Disney hotel.
