Genie +
Sorry if asked a million times.
We travel Friday and all along I have said I will not be purchasing Genie+ so havent looked too much into it. Now my husband is saying we may need these for Magic Kingdom and Epcot. I know you can start booking 7am but its not letting me add Genie+ to MDE. |

You can only buy Genie on the day you want to use it now.

You buy it through the app anytime after midnight and can then book your first ride at 7am. You can then book your next one 2 hours after the park opens or after you use the first reservation, whichever is sooner.

It's pretty much required for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Epcot and Animal Kingdom don't really need it.

Just log in about 6.55am to buy it before you book your first ride. It might be worth waiting though if you plan to do each park more than once.

We added it to our tickets while you still could. We’ve just been in HS this morning and apart from getting us on Slinky Dog it was no use at all. We only wanted to do a short day so all of the morning times were gone very quickly.
It worked well in HS when we went in at 4pm as I’d stacked them all day. It was also useful in MK and EP.

I would think about how you do the parks. We are up and out in the morning, finish early afternoon people and struggled with Genie plus. It seems to work well for people who either stay all day, do a morning and come back or stack them for an afternoon/evening visit. We didn’t do many later days and often the only times we could get were when we would have left the park. It worked ok in MK where there are loads of rides but I think in HS it only works for stacking for later. AK opened at 7am when we were there so we just went early and did everything.
