Quick help needed..
At the petrol pump how do we know what the car takes will it be gasoline?

99.9999999% it will be (gas) petrol - use the cheapest octane grade. Never heard of any one on the DIBB getting a diesel car.

There should be a sticker on the inside of the fuel cap cover telling you what fuel the car takes and what octane rating.

As PP's have mentioned, USA doesn't do much Diesel in cars, let alone rental car companies.
Use the regular type.
