Do we need to take adapters to use our own headphones on Virgin?
Flying out with Virgin next week. Wondering if we can plug our headphones straight in or do we need to take one of those double pin adapters? Thanks

No, you can plug your headphones straight in.

What about Bluetooth/wireless ones? I’m so out of touch with all things reference flying!

I bought this amazon/dp/B09ZTBZH...p_mob_ap_share
I've been testing before the flight and it's working remarkably well. I expected it to be much like the old cassettes you would put into your car and plug into a cd player. But it's just like connecting something to bluetooth. It took 5 mins to setup.

I’m happy to use the headphones supplied by VA but my daughter said she really wanted to use her own. Think I might have to buy her one of these.
Thanks for sharing this.

Is there a reason why people shouldn't use bluetooth on a plane? Is there something on board the plane that cancels it out?

On one of the new Emirates (I think) planes you can connect to your Bluetooth headsets- i saw it last week because they were making a big deal about it on SM. I’m not sure if they’ve had to develop new technology to enable it but it is possible to use Bluetooth on the right plane. No idea why you can’t use it on other planes though sorry ☺️
