Has anyone been on a Fly Drive with TUI lately and do you know how much is the extra insurance which you need to purchase is?

Not familiar with TUI Fly Drive, but what extra insurance are you referring to? For car hire you only need CDW/LDW and SLI at $1 million

I think Tui come uninsured like Virgin Holiday flydrive cars did until recently albeit they have changed now.

OP. Some deals for Insurance with Tui have been very good, some very poor. That's why I always tell people to check before binning the free car.

Looking at their website you can find too levels of insurance one inc fuel plus three drivers and one with one driver no fuel. You also need to specify the size of car. Too many options to give you a price here, but their website is easy to use, just search fly drive and it will guide you.

I have just booked Tui fly-drive. I have currently got the standard entry level insurance as the mid-level insurance is an additional £263 for intermediate car, 10 days. I am currently trying to establish if you HAVE to purchase CDW insurance from Alamo or can I purchase my own policy elsewhere. Can anybody confirm?

I believe you can purchase CDW separately but the consensus from posters on here is it’s not worth the risk - better to get everything you need from the rental company.

I mean, who would want the hassle of having to put in a sep claim for CDW (and in the meantime having to fork out the required cash) in the event of a problem. Too much hassle imo.
