Let’s hope I’m not out in the corridor
QUOTE=YorkshireT;14652487]I didn’t think they did them now? I’ve stopped in that one for business (good location, great Korean restaurant on the corner of the street, well worth a meal there) and Mrs YT was booking for October and I said book that one- no family rooms. Also saw they’d revamped some of the rooms with the new fancy style (bit more expensive) so assumed they’d taken all the family rooms for them. Maybe there are some left then and they are just booked up. We booked Blackfriars instead as I haven’t stayed there.[/QUOTE] |

We come in from the West and use our favourite.. Premier Inn, Bath Rd. Buses from outside are free and every few minutes to the transportation centre. From there it is into London on the tube.
Prices for this Prem Inn are always great and besides, I would not even know how to pay pollution or congestion charges on a car.

I’ve also stayed at the Bath Road Premier Inn - but only before our flight from t5. I thought it was one of the better ones. The last time I stayed in town (as I call it) was two years ago when my DD was going on her hen weekend. We stayed in the Premier Inn Hub in Goodge Street. First time in a hub and I was super impressed. You can walk to loads of places from here and we walked to the theatre (got some cheap tickets for Motown) and had dinner in Brasserie Blanc. We were minutes away from Oxford Street and the shops. However, at the moment, it’s going to be a different landscape. I always like having choices outside the hotel for eating and drinking. Some premier inns have better locations than others and may be worth spending a little bit more.

We have stayed at county hall which is decent but our favourite is the Farringdon/Smithfield now. It’s new, friendly staff and a great area and they also have the premier plus rooms there. The restaurant has been good each time we have stayed too.
