Mobile Clearwater

Hi we are hoping to go to Clearwater for the day in the summer. Just wondered a few things;
1 how long will it take from Disney area?
2 is it a whole day thing(we want to do the sea screamer)?
Thanks

I've not been. But this year we are planning on driving down first thing on a morning, staying overnight and doing Busch gardens the next day. Looking forward to it.

It takes around 1.5 - 2 hrs.
If you go at the weekend there is lots to do ( but also things on during the week)
Every evening at sunset there is the sunset celebration along pier 60, this is filled with stalls that have hand made items. This is on till around 9-10pm.
At weekends on the new grassed area they have family movie night... bring your own chairs!
Generally there's someone playing music.
Plus a fire eater/performer walks along the beach doing his thing! Some character interaction.

The beach... powder white sand.. warm calm sea. Dolphins.. Sunsets that will remain with you forever

You can stay in Clearwater for a few hours or like most people stay afew nights.
What ever you decide to do ... you will wish you stayed longer!

Would you say it makes more sense to go at the weekend for the night/day instead of during the week. We've currently got it planned for a Monday

We generally stay for a week Wednesday - Wednesday. Like to start the week off not to busy, but love the weekends. Love to catch the movie up at the pier. Just a note everything is much quieter during the week. Weekends Gondalier and Clear sky you need to book if you want a table but during the week you can get a table quite easily. Boat trips are not to busy during the week. The beach has a lot less people on it and hotels are more relaxed!
