The tipping certainly does add up on a 14 night for a family of 5

I'm just glad we have some onboard credit to put towards the tips

I think they will count babies...they do generate a bit of work in the stateroom Atleast...although not as much possibly in the dining room.

The Calculator is a great tool, for the 3 of us our suggested tips are $504.00 broken down thats $36.00 a day. When staying in a hotel in florida we usually left on average $5.00 a day for the mousekeeping and around $20 in tips at a meal, so its around $11 more a day. The servers and room hostess do a fantastic job though. At the recent $ rate it works out at around £24.00 per day. If you add it to the bargain price that we got the cruise for its not that much really.

Last year I paid my tips via my card that I had registered and ended up bringing loads of $'s home so this time If it looks like Im in the same position I wil just use the little envelopes they give you and put $'s in instead.
