Winter Park & Kelly Park
Somebody told me about these some time ago but we have never actually got around to visiting either. Are they worth a look? If so, would you choose one above the other?

You surely visit Kelly Park, one for tubbing but also for hiking.
1: This is a link to our tubbing day: oldersom.nl/blog/dag-6-tubben-in-kelly-park/ 2: Or Hiking the Kelly Loop Trail: oldersom.nl/blog/dag-21-relaxen-kelly-park/ Winter Park is more a small town, there you can visit the Winter Park Farmers' Market! Also great to visit, but we like the Mount Dora Market a bit more! |

Never been to Kelly Park but Winter Park has a lovely relaxing lake boat ride around the college grounds and very expensive houses. It also has the Morse Museum with an extensive collection of Tiffany glass

Winter Park and Kelly Park are completely different experiences. We have done both and I love them both.
Winter Park is a pretty, upscale town, and has a lovely boat ride, nice restaurants, little shops, and farmers market (Saturday mornings) Kelly Park is a big park with natural springs/river tubing run/swimming area. It is beautiful. You can hire tubes cheaply from outside the park - $5 I think they were. there were plenty of lifeguards when we were there- at every stretch of the river and at the swimming area. The lifeguards set off an alarm if they find a gator in the tubing area - a very loud siren went off when we were there. They said there was a large alligator and we had to get out! They also get people out if there is a storm. I'd advise taking a picnic, and also wearing water shoes/crocs in the tubing bit - when you get to the end of the tubing river you have to walk to the beginning again |

Absolutely love Winter Park area. Great for just mooching around, having lunch etc. Nice coffee shops and has a village feel. The Scenic Boat rides are great for being on the water and looking at posh houses lol.
People watching and a nice relaxing day. Its about 40 mins from the main theme parks in Orlando but dead easy to get to from the I4. I would love to live here if I had the money and a lottery win lol.

What's the best way to get to both? We're staying at Hampton Lakes on H27.
