Mobile Charging electrics on the Magic

I know we are not allowed multiblocks. What are we allowed?

I know there are USB sockets as well as plug sockets but we will have several things that don't use USB such as camera and video camera.

We are at DLP for a few days prior to going to Barcelona for the cruise, and we have a European multiblock (ie European plug with 4 UK sockets). We will use this at DLP - do we need to hand it in for 'confiscating' when we get on the ship? We know we can't use it anyway as the sockets on the ship are US ones.

The block ones are fine, it's the trailing leads that cannot be used.

I know we can't use it in board but do we have to hand it in?

Yes, it would be confiscated until the end of the cruise. You may as well take it in your hand luggage and give it in yourself or they'll go all through your suitcase to find it and may disturb a perfectly
packed suitcase!
All bags go through an airport style scanner so if they see it, they'll confiscate it. Just easier to hand it in.
There really are lots of sockets anyway, there's no need for trailing leads etc .. it just takes some noddle to remember not to let every battery drain at the same time.

We had no idea that extension sets weren't allowed on board and took ours with us when we cruised round the med on the Magic this September, it sat out on our vanity table whilst the state room host was in and nothing came of it. We only realised when we got home! Not that I'm recommending trying to smuggle anything in as i appreciate the fire risks whilst on board!

Stateroom hosts wouldn't generally say anything for fear of having their tips removed by the guest.

We had one in our hand luggage as had been at Disney for 2 weeks and expected it to be confiscated at security but it wasnt. We didnt use it as knew it was banned but were surprised it wasnt taken off us.

We just took an extra usa adaptor so we could charge two things. We didnt really use our phones except for the camera and the dcl app so only needed to charge them every two days

Not new at all. They banned them back in 2014
