Disney Dream Concierge, reviews? Worth it?

Hi, just back 2 weeks ago from WDW and in planning mode already for next October!

We have never done a cruise before but looking to book for next October a 3 night one on Dream.

Tempted to book Concierge. Really looking for anyone that has experienced this, and what your thoughts are of it?

Thank you

For a 3 night, personally I'd not bother. You really wouldn't have a lot of time to utilise the services they can offer.

It does allow you to book a cabana on Castaway Cay easier, but no other excursions on a 3 night sell out normally.
You would dine on your own which removes the possibly of meeting great people (we've only ever had 1 not so good pairing at dinner).

So, for your first cruise, I'd just do a standard room.

Thank you for reply. I did think for a 3 day it might be wasted. With this being our first ever cruise though I am just looking at 3nights to see how we go.
I think it looks fab, but it's dh. After seeing some YouTube reviews he wasn't too impressed. This is why I was looking at concierge as I don't want to put him off and we never get again!
Also its probably my dh nightmare sharing a table. So that worries me too.
Making him sound a right bore, he isn't though!

Ok, so you can request a solo table, that's no problem and they do everything to sort it for you. I really wouldn't go concierge just for that!

What videos did he watch to make him not impressed? I can't think of any of any cruise line that doesn't have me thinking 'wow, that looks nice'!

Honestly, I would definitely try it but I wouldn't do concierge for a first cruise of only 3 nights. Save your pennies and book 4 nights instead .. the amount of people we recommend this to but they don't do it, then when they come back, they say they wished they'd booked 4 nights (or more). if that's all your itinerary allows for, then go for it, but if you can, book longer.

We booked our first cruise last year and went in September.

We booked 7 nights Fjords cruise "just in case" we didn't like it.

We have now booked a 15 night transatlantic for next Sept and 2 weeks Caribbean for January 18!

I would seriously suggest going for 4 nights - 3 nights just wouldnt be enough even for my first one

Just to add about not sharing the table at dinner, my DH has issues with eating in front of other people (started when someone mentioned his weight in conjunction with what he was eating years ago) and now only eats in front of his immediate family, my immediate family and his best friends.

When we booked DCL I was concerned and requested a table for the two of us which was easy and although they say no guarantees they did it for us. DCL will go out of their way for you to make it right just for you, without the need for concierge and I def would not do that for a 3 night cruise.
