Cruise newbies - where to find a 'sample 'cruise?
Hello cruise experts!
Where to start?! Just wondering are there good websites I can go on that covers all (most) cruises? (Not wanting Disney cruises really). I'm just toying with the idea of doing a short cruise from Port Everglades next April if possible. There's me and hubby (and 2 teens who are dead keen to try a cruise). Not really sure it's 'us' as I certainly don't do dressing up posh and hubby has been known to be seasick before. Just want to do a sample cruise almost, just basic, nothing special, no fancy upgrades or anything. Any tips? Where do I even START looking? Thank you!

There is a web site called vacations to go
You can check on there which cruises go out around the time you want to cruise. With teens onboard I would look at Royal Caribbean, NCL or carnival. There are plenty of short cruises to pick from. Cabin wise try not to pick one that is under the pool area or buffet area. They tend to move furniture around early in the morning in both places and the noise can be annoying ! With a short cruise I would not bother with a balcony as you will spend most of your time out and about. I used to get very seasick and now use seabands, they work brilliantly. Or get some pills from Boots. Just to add, most cruises these days do not expect you to dress up. Edited at 03:17 PM. |

Also re cabin choice, go for the middle of the ship, front and back has much more movement if you get choppy seas.

Thank you!
I looked at Vacations to go and have that saved now - any more sites to look at please? Most I can see are UK sites or include flights in the cost, we have our flights already. . Did a lot of reading on cruises last night - it's a whole other ball game isn't it?
