Let me use the port agent driver for 5 days as the hospital was opposite side of the island to the condo. There were two elderly solo cruise patients from different RCI ships in this tiny St Maarten Hospital who were accompanied by personal careworkers from their ships guest relations team. What a fantastic service at a traumatic time - they stayed until patient's discharge then flew to rejoin the ship. Excellent !
Really good to hear of great service.

We currently have an annual travel insurance policy for the family which includes USA etc , but as we've never cruised before, is there anything I need to do before we go?
Do I need to tell them we are going on a cruise rather than a land based holiday?

Thank you in advance!
Check with the insurance company that cruising is included. Some companies now exclude cruises from their "Worldwide including USA, Canada and Caribbean" annual policies unless you pay a cruising supplement. Cost us an extra £49 to add it on.
