BA vouchers - what about tax?

Has anyone swapped their existing flight for vouchers yet and if so are you vouchered the full amount you paid including taxes or is the tax refunded?

That’s interesting, I cancelled a domestic flight for two people recently and got two voucher codes for future use, so I assumed it was per person. I don’t think it means the same two people have to use them though.

I know it’s a different company but my KLM flights were refunded separately as two vouchers (for each person) and everything we paid was refunded.

It might be that my voucher was for a fly drive holiday and they lumped it all together 😁

The voucher is for the total amount paid, excluding any seat reservation fees or change fees which had been applied prior to the voucher application.

I changed a ticket once in early March and then could not fly due to lockdowns / border closures being applied in various countries. The voucher is for the value of the original ticket (including all taxes and charges) plus the fare difference for the change I had made, but excludes the change fee which was applied when I made the change. Fair enough really. I don't pay for seat reservations with BA, but if I did, that would have been a separate issue, not included in the voucher.
