Universal Dining Plan

Howdy,
do any of you fine people know how much it is to buy a Universal Full service dining plan?

On line I found that the price for the Quick service was $25.99 but nothing on the full service.

I emailed Uni who replied with the price for Quick service and forgot to answer what I had asked!

Ta.

Hi
I think you can only have the ‘full’ if staying at one of the on-site hotels. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

You are correct but must be booked through Universal not 3rd party.

We did look into this too as we've got 4 days to the Royal Pacific booked next year. Unfortunately, after a bit of research, it seems that the traditional quick server fayre within the two parks doesn't seem that appealing after all.

Thanks all , the price was on the link by Shkyler, $64 a day.

A load of dummy bookings at restaurants on the quick plan showed we would struggle to make a profit, on my days off ill price up the full service to see if its worth buying.
As I've booked through a 3rd party Universal said that I could buy it from the ticket desk in reception.

I've done a bit of pricing up and found:

Quick service - $26 + tax

EACH DAY, YOU CAN ENJOY:
• One Quick Service Meal consisting of one of each: entrée and
non-alcoholic beverage.
• One Snack (such as popcorn, ice cream or a frozen beverage) from food
carts or quick service locations.
• One Beverage (non-alcoholic) from food carts or quick service locations

To make a profit you would have to order the expensive items on a menu such as a Clogger burger from Crustys for $20 and a Buzz cola for $4.59.

Couldn't find much on snacks but a Cinnamon roll costs $4.49 and for a drink you can get an expensive Powerade for $5.

This comes to $34.08 so you would have saved.

Only issue I can see is me being annoyed if the wife or kids wanted to order something cheaper which would mean I lose money on the deal.

The Full service $64 + tax *

YOU CAN ENJOY:
• One Full Service Meal consisting of one of each: entrée,
Dining Plan dessert, & non-alcoholic beverage.
• One Quick Service Meal consisting of one of each: entrée platter
and non-alcoholic beverage.
• One Snack (such as popcorn, ice cream or a frozen beverage)
from food carts or quick service locations.
• One Beverage (non-alcoholic) from food carts or quick
service locations.

As the wife wants to eat at Margaritaville I priced up there first.

A mains will set you back between $20 - $24, $5 a pudding and $5 for a drink bringing the total to around $30 - $34.

This would be close to recouping the money I paid for the plan.

NBC would cost a few dollars more but would still only cost me $38 if I ordered the expensive items.

A way of saving a bit more money was if you were considering buying a Freestyle cup, you can upgrade to Freestyle on the Plans for around $6 instead of the normal price of around $16 and then top it up as normal

I think I've ruled out the Full plan as an option as I think we would struggle to break even, the QS plan with the Freestyle could save me a bit and if it doesn't I wont be massively out of pocket, might buy it on the first day and see how it goes.

*(the site I used to price up the Freestyle and Full plan is a couple of years old and I think you could add another couple of dollars to the FP price, the QS price is current, not sure on Freestyle. The prices on food and drinks doesn't include tax)

I need a nap now as my brain hurts
