Mobile Just booked for Greece

Hi just booked a half term break to Greece. Keeping everything crossed that it happens! Staying at IKOS Olivia. If you love luxury then you will love IKOS 🥰

I booked direct with IKOS for the hotel and booked flights independently as well. It’s a beautiful resort

It certainly does look beautiful and not a bad price for October half term.

I was looking at it on BA holidays - do you really need to have a COVID antibody test on arrival? If so, have you read why?

I haven’t thought about it tbh, I know guests don’t have to wear masks on the resort so I wonder if it’s to ensure that the resort is Covid free? I’m not having a test prior to travelling so I don't mind having one when we get there.

I'd understand if it was a COVID test on arrival for a current infection but I don't really understand the need for an antibody test.

Anyhoo, it looks like a very lovely resort and the adjustments for the pandemic look very thorough.

We’ve got Turkey booked but at work today we got an email saying that if we went into quarantine on return then it would be unpaid, which I expected. I work in a school so it would be over half term but then would go two weeks into term time.

Edited at 03:51 AM.

I think the PCR is the test for current infection not for antibodies from what I understand 🤷

Hi, we are here at the moment and it is absolutely fabulous! Booked to fly home Friday just in case Greece gets added to list as husband can’t quarantine but would say if you have booked to fly out with BA you can’t do online check in and the queues were horrendous outbound so get to airport early.

We’ve been to the Olivia, it’s fabulous! We were booked to go to Ikos Dassia in October but that hotel is closed until 2021. ☹️

Enjoy your holiday!
